Orsett Golf Club was founded in 1899. This magnificent championship course, designed by the legendry James Braid, was firmly imbedded into this piece of the Essex countryside.

Situated within 5 miles of the M25, this fine par 72 championship course (S.S.S. 73) has a demanding layout of over 6,600 yards. In recent years Orsett has established itself as host to the regional qualifying round for The Open Championship no less than on 11 occasions.

The course is a 12 month a year course with it’s sand and gravel base. Come rain or shine the course is renowned for its year-round playing surface, it’s established woodland and striking heath-land features, free draining soil, combined with the latest irrigation system contributes to a golf course of outstanding quality.

    • Opportunity to register for an Essex Golf Union County Card giving reduced golf at over 1300 courses

    • Representative Golf for the Club entering Thornton Cup, Leslie Wood, Seniors Trophy, Norman Plum & Youth Shield as well as Silver, Bronze & Harris teams for the Ladies
    • Unique members App used for entering competitions, checking membership and bar balances, as well as receiving optional news notifications from the Club

    Cadets do not pay a Joining Fee.

  • Subscription Payments

    The annual subscription can be paid in full on the renewal date (1st April), or by Direct Debit over a 12 month period (April-March) Contact the office on (01375 891352) for full information and details.

    Over 80’s – Must have been a playing member for a minimum of 25 years

    Country Member – 7 day member, must live 50 miles away, has no voting rights and would have had to been a full member.

    Holding Pool – Social but suspended play. Minimum of 1 year will need to be put in writing and presented to the board for approval.

  • Joining Fees
    • The Joining Fee for 5 and 7 day to be paid in full £2000 on joining the Club.
    • Between ages of 26 to 30 year pay £500 joining fee.
    • Between ages of 18 to 25 Year pay £100 joining fee.
    • Ladies and Cadets do not pay a Joining Fee.
  • Student Discount

    A 50% discount if in full time education for 18 to 24 years. Copy of their Student Card is required for identification.

  • Under 18’s Offer

    FREE if parents, grandparents or guardians are already a Member of the Club, if you have no relation at Orsett only £120.00 for 7 day access to the championship course.

Membership Application Form

Before completing an application form, please be aware there is a £250 holding fee to reserve a place on the Club’s waiting list. This shall be refunded against your joining fee or first years subscription.
